Madeira Font website

MadeiraFont.com is a fun, experimental and deeply personal one-page website designed to showcase the Poncha Font, a colourful SVG typeface inspired by the identity of Madeira Island. The project was born from a desire to take the six original letters in “Madeira” and turn them into a full, expressive font that anyone can download and use freely.

The site includes a range of interactive features, from a live font tester and custom message generator, to downloadable content and sponsor forms. One of the most engaging elements is the ability for visitors to test and save their custom messages over rotating background images of Madeira, giving them a unique keepsake that connects both type and territory.

Despite being a compact one-pager, the site delivers a playful and immersive experience, blending typography, interactivity and personal storytelling. It’s a celebration of local creativity, built with intention and curiosity, and serves as a vibrant tribute to Madeira island.
